Trump threatens to impose tariffs on European alcoholic beverages in response to tariffs on American whiskey.

"The European Union, which has one of the most aggressive tax and tariff regimes in the world, established solely to take advantage of the USA, has recently imposed a 50 percent tariff on whiskey alcoholic beverages. If this tariff is not immediately repealed, the United States will soon impose a 200 percent tariff on all wine, champagne, and alcohol products imported from France and other European Union member states. This would be great news for the wine and champagne business in the USA," – wrote Trump on his Truth Social social media page.
