At the conclusion of negotiations held in the city of Paris, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, adopted a joint declaration on establishing a strategic partnership.
In the presence of the heads of state, intergovernmental agreements were exchanged on the mobility of experts and students, on mutual visa exemption for diplomatic passport holders, and on a cooperation program in the fields of investment and innovation, envisaging the implementation of prospective cooperation projects worth 6.5 billion euros with leading French companies in Uzbekistan.
The following were also signed during the state visit:
- An intergovernmental agreement on the establishment of the Uzbekistan-France University;
- An intergovernmental agreement on readmission;
- A cooperation program for the years 2025-2026 between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs;
- A cooperation program with the French Development Agency for the years 2026-2030;
- A declaration on cooperation within the framework of international organizations;
- A declaration on cooperation in the field of healthcare;
- A memorandum on the expansion of French language teaching;
- A declaration on cooperation in the fields of music, cinema, and theatre;
- Cooperation agreements between the Foundation for the Development of Culture and Arts and the French Ministry of Culture, National Institute of Cultural Heritage, and the Institute for Central Asian Studies;
- A memorandum on establishing partnership relations between the cities of Tashkent and Paris and other bilateral documents.
