“On additional measures to further encourage live performances in concert-show activities” Government decision (No. 207, April 8, 2025) was adopted. The Ministry of Justice reported about it.
According to the decision, from May 1, 2025:
- the use of phonograms in all concert-show events financed from the state budget and extrabudgetary funds will be gradually restricted;
- concert-show event advertisements must clearly indicate «Live performance», «Live voice with the use of phonogram» or «Concert program with phonogram»;
The Ministry of Culture, in recommending artists for the state awards «People's Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan», «Honored Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan», and «People's Bakhshi of the Republic of Uzbekistan», will primarily take into account their ability to perform live.
From July 1, 2025:
- advertisements for live performance concert-show events to be broadcast on channels within the Uzbekistan MTRK system will be given a 30 percent discount for the event organizer;
- concert-show events held with live performance and partial use of phonogram in the Uzbekistan MTRK system will be broadcasted for free based on a positive conclusion of the respective broadcasting channel's Artistic Council.
- «Live Performance Week» will be held in all regions of the republic every quarter.
