Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the new strategic agreement signed with the US has been sent to the Verkhovna Rada for ratification.

According to him, the document serves to attract investments into the Ukrainian economy and does not include any debt obligations.

"There is an agreement, it has been signed and sent to the Verkhovna Rada. "During the work on this document, it has changed significantly, now it has become an equal and beneficial document for Ukraine," Zelenskyy said in a video message.

The head of state emphasized that there are no debt clauses in the agreement. "The US and Ukraine will jointly benefit from this partnership," he said.

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that this agreement would serve as an open signal to Russia. "This agreement shows that there is no conflict between the Ukrainian and American peoples. "It's not just about precious metals - it's also about infrastructure and energy," he said.

According to him, this cooperation will benefit both countries.

Within the framework of the agreement, on April 30, in Washington, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Ukraine's First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko signed a document on the establishment of an investment fund for Ukraine. Initially, this agreement was known as the "resource agreement" or the "rare earth metal agreement."

This agreement is considered an important step in attracting foreign capital, especially at a time when Ukraine is planning post-war reconstruction.
