On March 20, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif. At the beginning of the conversation, the parties sincerely congratulated each other on the occasion of the holy Ramadan holiday of Eid al-Fitr and the Navruz holiday for the entire Muslim Ummah, wishing their peoples peace, prosperity, and flourishing.

During the conversation, it was emphasized that the high-level visit carried out in February of this year has brought bilateral strategic partnership relations to a new stage. It was also noted that contacts at the ministerial and agency levels have intensified, yielding increasingly practical results.

The parties expressed concern over the acute situation in South Asia and the Middle East, stressing the necessity of resolving all issues solely through peaceful and diplomatic means.
