It was noted that the Public Association for the Protection of Copyright and Related Rights requested legal action regarding the unauthorized performance of the poem "Senmidin," which belongs to the poet Abdusaid Abdusalomov, known by the pseudonym "Salomiy," without the author's permission.
During the investigation, it was determined that the song "Senmidin," performed by People's Artist of Uzbekistan and Karakalpakstan Yulduz Usmonova, was used without the author's consent by singer Guljahon Holkhojayeva. Administrative offense statements were formalized regarding the incident and sent to the relevant court.
According to the decision of the Mirzo Ulugbek District Court on Criminal Cases, the singer was fined under Part 1 of Article 177-1 of the Administrative Responsibility Code (violation of copyright and related rights).
For reference, in accordance with the law, the copyright holder is entitled to demand compensation for damages in an amount ranging from 20 to 1000 times the base calculation amount.
