It is reported that today, April 20, an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.5 occurred in Aomori Prefecture, located in the north of Japan's Honshu Island.
In connection with this, the country's national meteorological service has issued a tsunami warning. The initial waves could reach a height of up to 3 meters and reach the coast in the near future.
Aomori, Iwate, and Miyagi prefectures, as well as the southern part of Hokkaido Island, have been designated as dangerous areas. The population is advised to take precautionary measures and move away from coastal areas.
