Saida Mirziyoyeva met with Ben Black, CEO of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC).
It was reported that during the conversation, a portfolio of major projects was discussed. The DFC assists in attracting American investors to Uzbekistan and also assumes part of the investment risks.
It is also planned to launch a joint investment platform in 2026.
On April 6, the U.S.-Uzbekistan Business and Investment Council officially began its work in Washington. The co-chairs of the council, Saida Mirziyoyeva and Sergio Gor, signed a memorandum of understanding.
In her speech at the opening of the U.S.-Uzbekistan Business and Investment Council in Washington, Saida Mirziyoyeva said that cooperation between the two countries has reached a new stage.
On April 7, Saida Mirziyoyeva met with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington in a business breakfast format.
