According to WHO, the level of starvation in Gaza has reached a dangerous stage, with hundreds of people dying from hunger.

The World Health Organization (WHO) warns that starvation cases in Gaza have reached "alarming levels," as the humanitarian crisis in the Middle East continues to worsen. Meanwhile, Jordan and the UAE airdropped 25 tons of aid into Gaza—this took place during a "tactical pause" announced by Israel.

The Israeli military announced a temporary halt to military operations in certain areas for 10 hours a day, allowing humanitarian aid to be delivered through the UN and other organizations. However, Hamas dismissed this move as a "public relations stunt."

Humanitarian organizations describe airdrops as insufficient and a "distracting “grotesque” measure." UNICEF and the UN World Food Programme emphasize that land-based aid delivery is the only real solution.

Recent reports indicate that one in four people in Gaza is at risk of starvation, with several hundred already dead due to severe malnutrition. Additionally, civilians attempting to access food have been shot at in some instances.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu stated that the war will continue, insisting that military operations will not stop until "all objectives are fully achieved." Meanwhile, the UN warned of a catastrophic health crisis if aid delivery is not accelerated.

Gazans cautiously welcome the temporary pause but remain skeptical about its long-term impact. "Hope has emerged, but there is fear that hunger will return once the pause ends," says Rasha Al-Sheikh Khalil from Gaza City.
