The new deal means Messi will remain in the USA until the 2026 World Cup and will finish his career specifically with "Inter Miami". The club's management has also expressed its readiness to create all the necessary conditions to implement this plan.
Having joined the MLS club in July 2023, Messi won the Leagues Cup in his very first season and recorded a record number of "points" for his team. In the 2025 season, with 28 goals and 14 assists in 36 games, he became the club's top scorer.
