A $4.2 billion locomotive contract was signed between the U.S. and Kazakhstan.

The US company Wabtec has signed the largest railway locomotive deal in history with Kazakhstan.

The agreement is valued at $4.2 billion and involves the production and servicing of 300 modern freight locomotives at the Wabtec plant in the city of Astana.

The plant has been operating since 2009 and has produced more than 600 locomotives to date.

This deal was announced following a meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
