Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with the leader of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, within the framework of the Antalya Diplomatic Forum. This was reported by Zamon.uz reported.
According to information from the Turkish Presidential Administration, during the talks, the parties discussed in detail the latest political and security situation in the region.
Erdoğan emphasized that the escalation resulting from the attacks against Iran is seriously affecting the entire region. According to him, Turkey is intensifying diplomatic efforts to completely stop the war and create a stable peaceful environment.
The Turkish leader also noted that separatist scenarios being advanced against the backdrop of the situation around Iran do not serve the interests of any party. He stated that maintaining stability and security in Iraq remains a priority task.
Furthermore, Erdoğan said that the events around the Strait of Hormuz once again demonstrate the need to diversify oil supply routes.
In this regard, he particularly emphasized the strategic importance of the "Development Road" project.
