Amendments aimed at improving the system of payment for labor for overtime work established by the Labor Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan were adopted.

The law introduced changes and additions to legislative documents aimed at clarifying the powers of the Migration Agency, expanding the rights and obligations of private employment agencies, as well as improving the system of payment for overtime work.
Accordingly, private employment agencies were granted the following rights:
— to organize vocational and foreign language training courses for job seekers in the prescribed manner, as well as to involve foreign employers in this process;
— to independently manage the interest income received from placing reserve funds in deposits in commercial banks.
Furthermore, according to the amendments introduced into the Labor Code, the requirement that the duration of overtime work should not exceed 120 hours per year has been abolished.
It was also established that for the first 2 hours of overtime work per day, payment must be made at a rate of at least 1.5 times, and for the part exceeding 2 hours, at a rate of at least 2 times.
