The Department of Emergency Situations of Namangan region commented on this situation.

According to reports, employees of the regional Department of Emergency Situations and the Uchkurgan district Department of Emergency Situations conducted research on the Great Fergana main canal passing through the territories of the "Guliston", "Pakhtachi", "Tegirmon" and "Birlik" mahallas.

During the research, the presence of a crocodile in the canal was not detected.

Citizens were asked not to trust baseless and unconfirmed reports, and to rely only on official sources.
