President's Eid al-Adha greeting: "Important historical steps on the path to building a New Uzbekistan"
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated the country's population on the blessed Eid al-Adha, emphasizing that the ideas of peace, compassion, and humanism align with the substance of the reforms being implemented in New Uzbekistan. The head of state also touched upon the Hajj pilgrimage, religious freedoms, and efforts to preserve the heritage of Islamic civilization.
"Eid al-Adha is becoming an even more cherished holiday for our people"
In the congratulatory message released by the presidential press service, the head of state first sincerely congratulated all faithful Muslims and the people of the country on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that Eid al-Adha, a symbol of peace, generosity, and compassion, is gaining significance in harmony with the reforms aimed at exalting human dignity, supporting the population, and strengthening the atmosphere of solidarity in society.
The President particularly emphasized that the noble traditions of this holiday play an important role in supporting those in need, the elderly, women, and youth, as well as in improving neighborhoods and households.
The heritage of Islamic civilization is being elevated to a new level
The congratulatory message specially highlighted the extensive work being carried out in Uzbekistan in recent years to study and promote the humanistic essence of the Islamic faith and to preserve the legacy of great scholars.
In this regard, the head of state mentioned major spiritual and educational complexes such as the Center for Islamic Civilization, the Imam Bukhari Memorial Complex, and the Burhaniddin Marginani Scientific, Educational, and Tourism Complex as unique symbols of New Uzbekistan.
"All of these are important historical steps on the path to building a New Uzbekistan," the congratulatory message states.
The "President's Hajjis" program has been launched for the first time
According to the President, due to the conditions created to ensure freedom of religious belief in the country, over 15,000 Uzbek citizens are performing the sacred rites of Hajj this year.
It was also announced that for the first time in Uzbekistan's history, the "President's Hajjis" program has been established. Accordingly, 100 scholars, elders, neighborhood dignitaries who have made significant contributions to the country's development, along with their family members, have been sent on the Hajj pilgrimage.
The President congratulated all compatriots performing the Hajj pilgrimage on Eid al-Adha and wished for their prayers to be accepted.
"May the Almighty Himself protect our people and homeland"
At the end of his congratulatory message, Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed gratitude to the military personnel, law enforcement officers, and all officials who remain in service to the people during the holiday days.
At the same time, well-wishes were extended to Uzbeks studying and working abroad.
"Praise be to Allah Almighty for bringing our people and homeland to such a blessed occasion in peace and solidarity. May the Creator protect our people under His shelter. May Eid al-Adha be blessed for us all," the President said.
