The injury of Mojtaba Khamenei was confirmed. This was announced in an interview given by the spokesperson of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ismail Baghaei, to Italy's "Corriere della Sera" newspaper.
"He was injured, but his condition is stable. I don't know when he will make his first speech," says Baghaei.
He also stated that "three or four candidates" had claimed the position of Supreme Leadership, but that the majority of the members of the Assembly of Experts had chosen Mojtaba Khamenei.
