In the Batken region of Kyrgyzstan, individuals attempting to transport over 34 kilograms of narcotic substances to Uzbekistan have been detained. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.
According to reports, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning the illegal preparation and sale of narcotic drugs.
According to investigation data, a person named E.E.Y., born in 1993, organized the large-scale import of hashish from Tajikistan into Kyrgyzstan for subsequent sale.
The suspect was detained while attempting to sell the narcotic substance. During a search of his person and vehicle, three packages wrapped in yellow tape were found. The total weight of the substance in them was approximately 3 kilograms.
Subsequently, during a search at his residence, another 31 packages were found. The total weight of the narcotic substance in them was 31 kilograms 398 grams. Thus, the total weight of the confiscated narcotics amounted to 34 kilograms 448 grams.
Currently, a forensic chemical examination has been ordered to determine the exact composition of the confiscated substances. Investigative authorities are also examining the possibility of an international drug trafficking channel.
According to the Kyrgyz Ministry of Internal Affairs, the narcotic substances were being transported from Tajikistan through Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan.
At the same time, additional operational measures were carried out in Uzbekistan within the framework of this case. As a result, law enforcement agencies confiscated 14 kilograms of hashish and one kilogram of opium, and detained Kh.T.T., born in 1995, suspected of involvement in a criminal group.
Currently, investigative actions are ongoing to identify the participants in the drug supply chain and the transportation routes.
