Within the framework of combating the illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs, a large amount of narcotic drugs was confiscated in Tashkent. This became known as a result of operational measures conducted jointly by the State Security Service, Customs, and Internal Affairs bodies.

During the operation, a person living in the city of Denov, Surkhandarya region, born in 1988, previously convicted for a crime related to narcotic drugs, was detained in one of the hotels in Yakkasaray district of Tashkent.

According to reports, he agreed to sell 1 kilogram 185 grams of "hashish" brought from a neighboring country to a conditional buyer for 26 thousand US dollars. He was caught with material evidence while receiving 21 thousand dollars of the agreed money.

Also, the driver of the "Cobalt" car that brought the narcotic drug from Surkhandarya to the capital — a person from Denov born in 1987 — was also detained near the hotel. He had previously been convicted for committing a crime related to theft.

Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against these persons, and investigative actions are being conducted.
