Two cases related to drug trafficking have been uncovered in Tashkent city and Khorezm region. This was reported by the State Security Service reported.
According to reports, during operational-search activities carried out in cooperation between the State Security Service and internal affairs bodies, the activities of a person who had been growing narcotic plants using the hydroponic method at home and selling them via the internet were stopped.
In particular, a temporary residence of a citizen born in 1996 in Tashkent, previously convicted, located in one of the multi-story buildings in the Mirzo Ulugbek district was inspected. During the inspection, a narcotic substance stored in a plastic container, 300 zip-lock bags, tape, and an electronic scale were found.
Preliminary investigations revealed that this person had been growing narcotic plants in a residence belonging to his mother located in Tashkent district.
When this address was inspected, 10 cannabis plants, one dried narcotic substance, as well as chemicals used for their cultivation and an electronic scale were seized as physical evidence.
In another case, a Cobalt car traveling on the "Samarkand — Khorezm" route was stopped and inspected in the Tuprakkala district.
As a result, it was found that a passenger in the car, a person born in 2003, living in the Urgut district of Samarkand region, had 810 grams of opium.
During the pre-investigation check, it was determined that this narcotic substance was smuggled from a neighboring country and was planned to be sold in the Khorezm region.
Currently, measures are being taken to identify the possible criminal accomplices of this person.
