During operational measures conducted within the framework of combating illegal migration, the illegal activities of individuals who promised to send citizens abroad for work and demanded money were curbed.
According to the State Security Service, a resident of the Chinaz district of the Tashkent region, who had been convicted several times before, gained the trust of a 24-year-old citizen from the capital. He promised to send the citizen to the United States on a work visa through his official acquaintances and to arrange all necessary documents. For these services, he demanded 22,000 US dollars and was caught red-handed at the time of receiving an advance payment of 5,000 dollars.
A similar case was also identified in the Andijan region. A person born in 1993, living in the Izboskan district, promised to send a 26-year-old citizen from Asaka to South Korea for work and demanded 6,000 dollars for this. He was detained by officers of the State Security Service and law enforcement agencies at the time of receiving an advance payment of 3,000 dollars.
During the pre-investigation check, it became known that this person had previously taken money from another citizen with a promise to send them to South Korea for work.
Currently, criminal cases have been initiated regarding both incidents, and investigative actions are ongoing.
