It has been determined that 29 employees working in the system of the Tashkent city administration have committed crimes. This was reported in the resolution of the Tashkent City Council of People's Deputies dedicated to the results of the anti-corruption internal control service of the Tashkent city administration.
According to the document, employees in the administration system committed a total of 1,353 cases of administrative offenses, all of which were formalized in accordance with the established procedure.
Furthermore, preventive conversations were held with four assistants to the mayors of the Mirabad, Chilanzar, Yunusabad, and Yashnabad districts, as well as with the deputy mayor of the Yakkasaray district for construction and environmental issues, regarding the prevention of corruption and conflicts of interest.
It is reported that civil servants engaging in entrepreneurial activities and allowing conflicts of interest remain one of the pressing issues. As a result of the conducted studies, it was found that 167 employees have participation in commercial organizations.
A number of measures have been taken to eliminate these situations. In particular, the founding activities of six employees in 20 business entities were terminated, and employment contracts with 13 employees were terminated. Additionally, seven commercial organizations were transferred to the liquidation process, and two were removed from the state register. The activities of four employees in leadership positions were restricted.
It is noted that preventive conversations were held with a total of 49 employees, while warning measures were applied to 55 employees by the Ethics Commissions.
According to analyses, 50.4 percent of decisions and orders adopted in January 2026 were posted in a hidden manner. By April, the share of openly published decisions had been increased to 67 percent.
At the same time, the Compliance and Anti-Corruption Internal Control Service reviewed 350 draft decisions, of which seven were rejected and 153 were coordinated.
According to data, as a result of the conducted studies, savings of 2 billion soums were achieved from the funds of the reserve fund of the Tashkent city administration.
Of the 83 candidates recommended for hiring, positive conclusions were given for 75. Negative conclusions were presented for eight candidates due to suspicious circumstances in their background or activities.
