Earlier, videos on social media about an elderly woman left alone and no one looking after her caused widespread discussions. After that, the situation was studied by the relevant authorities.

According to the Tashkent city administration, the information that the pensioner woman was left without care was not confirmed during the inspections. It was noted that she was under the supervision of a social worker and provided with the necessary assistance. Also, as a safety measure, the gas valve in the apartment was temporarily removed.

However, during the inspections by the Prosecutor General's Office, it was found that the apartment belonging to the woman was registered in the name of another person based on a sale and purchase agreement in September 2025.

Currently, the investigation is examining under what circumstances this transaction was concluded. In particular, it is being checked whether the elderly woman fully understood the meaning and consequences of her actions at the time of signing the documents, as well as whether there are signs of fraud.

In connection with this situation, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 168, Part 4, Item "a" of the Criminal Code (fraud). Currently, preliminary investigation actions are being carried out.
