According to the "Dunyo" news agency, on August 22, a traffic accident involving citizens of Uzbekistan occurred in the Aksay area of the Shymkent—Samara highway passing through the city of Kyzylorda. As a result, three citizens of Uzbekistan died at the scene.
According to preliminary information from local law enforcement agencies, the incident may have occurred as a result of a collision with a truck caused by the driver falling asleep at the wheel.
The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Almaty, in cooperation with the Migration Agency, has taken measures to return the bodies of the deceased citizens to their homeland.
After the necessary documents were processed, the bodies of the three citizens were delivered to their permanent residence — the city of Bekabad in the Tashkent region.
