Today, 28 August, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the “New Uzbekistan” park in Tashkent and laid a wreath at the foot of the Independence Monument.
This majestic complex reflects the centuries-old history of our people, the images of great scholars and world-conquering ancestors, as well as important events in the development of Uzbekistan.
The Humo bird located at the top of the monument embodies the ideas of freedom and goodness, the noble dreams and aspirations of our people.
The event was organized in connection with the 35th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It was attended by representatives of the Legislative Chamber and Senate of the Oliy Majlis, the Presidential Administration, the Cabinet of Ministers, and the public of the city of Tashkent.
