On August 25, a ceremony to launch new facilities was held with the participation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

It was noted that within the framework of these projects with a total value of about 50 trillion soums, 15,000 new jobs will be created. It is also expected that they will bring an additional 1 trillion soums in revenue to the state budget annually.

The launched investment projects cover such areas as energy, agriculture and food industry, metallurgy, automotive, electrical engineering, construction materials, mining, textiles and light industry.

In particular, an electricity generation facility with a capacity of 1,573 megawatts was launched in the Syrdarya region, a 200-megawatt wind power plant and a 100-megawatt energy storage system were launched in the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

In the social sphere, 36 kindergartens, 43 schools, 7 higher education institutions and 3 hospitals were put into operation.

Also, the new complex of the New Uzbekistan University, built on an area of 10 hectares in the New Tashkent area, has started operating. Conditions have been created here for 7,000 students to study.

In the city of Karshi, new buildings and structures of the University of Economics and Pedagogy worth 400 billion soums, as well as a five-story National Library with an area of 30,000 square meters, were also put into operation.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev highly appreciated the work of investors, entrepreneurs, builders, engineers and designers who participated in the construction of new facilities.

At the end of the ceremony, the head of state pressed a symbolic button and launched the commissioning of 72 major investment projects and 91 social facilities.
