Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan — Head of the Presidential Administration Adilbek Kasymaliev announced a reprimand to Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services Nurdan Oruntaev. This was reported by the country's Cabinet of Ministers.
According to the report, the disciplinary action was applied because the minister failed to properly perform the labor duties assigned to him. However, the official statement did not specify the exact reasons for the reprimand.
This decision was made a few days after reports about a conflict in the Talas region of Kyrgyzstan spread on social networks.
On August 22, a clash occurred during construction work at the "Manas Ordo" complex in the Talas region. Messages circulated on social media said that Nurdan Oruntaev and the presidential plenipotentiary representative in the Talas region, Ermat Zhumaev, were connected to this incident.
Later, videos depicting the event were circulated. In them, Oruntaev is seen trying to separate the participants in the conflict. According to the Talas Regional Internal Affairs Department, an investigation has been launched into the incident. The conflict participants, in turn, stated that they have no claims against each other.
At the same time, no official information has yet been provided regarding whether the reprimand given to Oruntaev by the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan is directly related to this conflict.
