In the final of the competition, Asaubaeva competed with Ukrainian grandmaster Maria Muzychuk and won both games — 2:0. Thus, she won the championship in the rapid program of the tournament.

Asaubaeva defeated German representative Elisabeth Potz in the quarterfinals, and Georgian Nino Batsiashvili in the semifinals. In both stages, the winner was determined by an additional Armageddon game.
The Kazakh chess player will not end her participation in the competition with this. Today, on August 26, the blitz program of the tournament starts in Saint-Tropez, and Asaubaeva will compete for the championship there as well.
