Shohimardon Hamroev, a participant of the Second World War who lived in the Temir Darvoza neighborhood of Boysun district, Surkhandarya region, died at the age of 105.

During the years of the Second World War, Shohimardon Ota took part in battles that took place in the territories of Voronezh, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. He fought not behind the lines but directly on the battlefields in defense of the Motherland, overcoming severe and arduous trials with steadfastness.

His contemporaries and loved ones remember him as a person who served the country with loyalty and made duty and responsibility the essence of his life.

After the war ended, Shohimardon Hamroev devoted his entire life to the field of education. He studied pedagogy and worked as a Russian language teacher for nearly 40 years. Thanks to his labor and dedication, hundreds of young people received knowledge and upbringing.

For his many years of fruitful work, Shohimardon Hamroev was awarded the badge “Excellence in Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan.”

Notably, Shohimardon Ota was the last living participant of the Second World War in Surkhandarya region. His death is a great loss not only for the region but also for the entire public of the country.
