An officer of the Road Patrol Service (RPS) in Tashkent city, Yakkasaray district, took action against a citizen who did not comply with the demands. The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported this.

It is noted that on July 13, the inspector stopped a vehicle moving without state license plates. However, the driver did not stop and left the scene, after which the inspector followed him.

During the process, the driver was warned several times, but despite this, he did not comply with the traffic lights' prohibiting signals, went into the oncoming lane, and continued on his way, making dangerous "maneuvers".

"Upon reaching Yangihayot district, the driver stopped at a pedestrian crossing. I demanded him to get out of the car, but the driver didn’t comply and instead drove the car towards me, and I ended up on the hood for about 400-500 meters," said RPS officer Shohrukh Bobomurodov.

As a result of the measures taken, the driver was stopped, and the documents for the violation he committed were officially processed according to the law. The incident resulted in the officer sustaining injuries to the ligaments of his left leg. The car was placed in a penalty parking lot.

"The documents in the car were not complete. I fled the scene without handing the car over to the officer. I should have respected the laws of Uzbekistan, obeyed the officers, and always performed the tasks they demanded. I regret what I did," said the driver.

Regarding this case, the Yangihayot district court for criminal cases sentenced the violator driver to 15 days of administrative detention.
