In the Kashkadarya region, during the past six months of 2024, it was revealed that 1034 drivers were found driving under the influence of alcohol. This information was provided by the head of the regional Traffic Safety Department, Aziz Sadikov as reported.
During the past six months of this year, a total of 172,524 violations were detected by the road patrol service inspectors in the region. Of these, 62,741 were serious violations, says the head of the regional Traffic Safety Department.
It has been clarified that drivers found driving while intoxicated accounted for 1034 individuals, while 5412 drivers were found driving without the necessary documents.
17,239 drivers failed to comply with traffic light signals, and 886 drivers disobeyed a traffic police officer, while 35,601 did not comply with road signs. Based on the violations, 8281 vehicles were placed in the penalty lot, the official says.
To prevent road traffic accidents occurring in Kashkadarya, a Kashkadarya experience has also been developed.
In order to prevent potential road accidents, as part of the Kashkadarya experience, 17 "Mobile Posts" have been established in segments of roads within the region identified as hazardous by the Kashkadarya region Ministry of Internal Affairs Traffic Safety Department, and efforts in this regard are being continued, says Aziz Sadikov.
