The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, received the Assistant to the President of Uzbekistan, Saida Mirziyoeva, in Astana. This was reported by the Akorda press service here.

It was reported that the meeting, which took place on August 5, discussed urgent issues related to further developing the multifaceted partnership between the two countries.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the alliance and strategic nature of the cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan and emphasized the importance of establishing close contacts between the presidential administrations for effectively expanding high-level political dialogue.

Special attention was given to deepening mutually beneficial cooperation in the fields of information, ideological, cultural-humanitarian, and educational areas, as well as youth policy.

The President also supported the holding of the international intellectual games "Zakovat" in Astana and noted that such events play an important role in the cultural convergence of nations.
