According to London police, 474 people were arrested during a demonstration in support of the banned group "Palestine Action" in Parliament Square, Westminster.

Protesters simultaneously raised handmade signs with the message, "I am against genocide. I support the Palestine movement."

In July, Palestine Action was designated a terrorist organization under the 2000 Terrorism Act, and membership or support for its activities can be punished by up to 14 years in prison.

Police emphasized that every person displaying signs supporting the Palestine movement has "either already been arrested or is being arrested."

Videos circulating on social media show police walking among seated protesters, approaching people, speaking with them, and then taking them away.
