A 50-year-old man living in the "Rabotak" neighborhood of Bukhara district in Bukhara region stabbed a 24-year-old woman to death. This was reported by Hayot Shamsiddinov of the Prosecutor General's press service to darakchi.uz.
It turns out, the deceased was the man's third wife.
After his wife died in 2018, A.D. lived with a woman from Bukhara city from 2018 – 2019. After having a child, he divorced the woman. In 2019, he then married a 24-year-old woman from Chiroqchi district in Kashkadarya region.
Because the head of the family was unemployed, problems began to emerge once a child was born in the family. Consequently, the woman started working at a cafe in the neighborhood. The 50-year-old man, out of jealousy, used to create scenes at the cafe every day. The turmoil escalated following a rumor about the woman's infidelity to him, leading to the murder.
On July 30, 2024, following an argument at the cafe where his wife worked, the man inflicted a severe bodily injury on her left hip area with a kitchen knife, and then fled the scene. The woman died at the location of the incident.
According to the information service of the Bukhara region prosecution office, a criminal case has been initiated on this matter, the suspect has been detained, and preliminary investigation actions are underway.
