A woman living in the Asaka district argued with her husband and threw herself into the Shahrikhan river during the conflict .
It is reported that a woman, a mother of 3 children, born in 1994 and living in the Asaka district, argued with her husband and in anger threw herself into the Shahrikhan river. At that time, a preventive inspector of the Asaka district Police Department who was on duty in the area saw her and saved her.
"On August 3rd, around 05:30 in the morning, while I was reporting the night shift's information, I saw an unknown woman sitting under the bridge of the Shahrikhan river. When I told the citizen that the place was dangerous, she asked me not to come closer and threw herself into the water. In order to perform my duty, I jumped into the water after her and saved the woman," says the preventive inspector.
According to the reports, the woman who attempted to commit suicide has a husband addicted to chronic alcoholism. As a result, she has been constantly experiencing domestic violence.
"It might be okay for those without children to drink. But my husband has a son if you ask about a son, a daughter if about a daughter, and a wife at home. I still don’t understand why he drinks. I always tell him not to drink," said the woman.
Currently, authorities are working to improve the social condition of the family and to provide the woman with employment.
