The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, had a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, on August 30th. This was reported by the Presidential press service.
At the beginning of the conversation, the head of our state sincerely congratulated the President of Belarus on his jubilee, wishing him robust health and great achievements, and wishing prosperity and development to the friendly people of Belarus.
In turn, the President of Belarus sincerely congratulated the leader of Uzbekistan and its multi-national people on the upcoming Independence Day, wishing peace, stable development, and prosperity.
During the conversation, issues related to the implementation of agreements reached during the visit of the President of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Uzbekistan on February 7–9th of this year were discussed, in accordance with the “road map” that was agreed upon.
The productive outcomes of the recent visit to our country by the delegation led by Natalya Kochanova, Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, were highly appreciated.
The importance of accelerating the preparation and implementation of joint industrial cooperation projects, as well as expanding cultural-humanitarian exchanges, was emphasized.
