"Yagi" storm has resulted in the most severe floods in the last 80 years in the northern states of Thailand and Myanmar, reports "World" News Agency.
According to the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in the city of Bangkok, the floodwater level reached 1 meter, causing a very strong current.
Heavy rain followed by flooding caused two landslides in the north of Thailand. As a result of the landslides, 6 people died and about 9000 households were affected by the flood.
The authorities in Thailand have advised people in the areas affected by the flood, especially near the Sai River on the Thailand-Myanmar border, to prepare for possible evacuation.
No citizens of Uzbekistan living and working in the areas of Thailand affected by the natural disaster, along with their family members, have been identified as being affected by the flooding and landslides.
