On July 12, a Belarusian Air Force Mi-24 helicopter shot down a Russian drone heading towards Ukraine. This was reported by local media, citing the Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine's Ministry of Defense.

According to reports, at that time, there were at least three Russian unmanned aerial vehicles in Belarusian airspace.

The helicopter, belonging to Belarusian air defense forces, detected and destroyed a strike drone of the "Gerbera" type while performing airfield surveillance duties.

It is reported that the drone's debris fell in the territory of Gomel region.
