In the Surkhandarya region's Boysun district, at the "25th Anniversary of Independence" (M-25) gas field, a hydrogen sulfide leak occurred again in the afternoon of September 17. Following the incident, 2 individuals died.

This information was confirmed by Oktam Otaev, head of the General Prosecutor's Office Department overseeing the enforcement of legislation in the fields of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Forestry, during a press conference held by the AOKA on September 18.

O. Otaev noted that the regional prosecutor himself went to the site of the incident, and that pre-investigation checks are currently being conducted.

Additionally, he mentioned that besides the fatalities, there are also citizens who have been injured as a result of the situation.
