Two women have been sentenced for sending girls to the state of Oman for prostitution. This was reported by the "Zaman" program here.
It is reported that a 32-year-old woman originally from Fergana had been forcing young girls into prostitution in the state of Oman.
She involved a woman from Jizzakh in her criminal activities. They have been sending girls abroad by paying for their visas and other expenses since 2021, dreaming of going abroad.
Among these girls was her own sister-in-law, who, according to her, went with the intention of working to buy a house and improve her living conditions.
"When I went there, I did not know the language at all, I did not understand. She would talk and drop the girls off at the hotel. I went to work as a waitress, but then she forced me into prostitution," says the woman.
One of the witnesses emphasized that the defendant had brought a lot of girls there, having heard that there were 18 girls.
The court hearing took place in the Samarkand city court.
According to the court verdict, the defendants were found guilty of committing the crime stipulated by the respective clauses of Article 135, Section 2, of the Criminal Code, and were sentenced to a term of 5 years and 1 month in prison.
