It was reported that school students in Olmaliq were poisoned by water here.

The Child Ombudsman is currently investigating this incident as stated.

It is noted that students of a specialized school in the city of Olmaliq complained about their health after consuming unfiltered water on the school premises, resulting in twelve students being suspected of acute intestinal disease from September 15 to September 19 of this year, seeking medical attention from the department of infectious diseases.

It was found that the health of the school students is currently positive, and seven of them have been allowed to receive treatment at home.

An investigation is being conducted by the Sanitary-Epidemiological Well-being and Public Health Service of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tashkent regional department, with samples taken for chemical analysis from the water, food products, and other sources.

Additionally, this situation is being studied by the working group of the regional department of preschool and school education.

Currently, a pre-investigation check is being carried out by the Olmaliq district prosecutor's office regarding this matter.
