Earlier, in connection with the incident that occurred at a school in Tashkent, the spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, had asked for an explanation from Uzbekistan. The rector of Uzbekistan's University of Journalism and Mass Communications, Sherzodkhon Qudratkhoja, expressed his position regarding Zakharova's "interference" in the event within Uzbekistan.

“The use of force in schools is absolutely unacceptable. It is absolutely impermissible for a teacher to use force against a student. The interference of another country in our internal affairs is absolutely and once again absolutely unacceptable,” says Sherzodkhon Qudratkhoja.

He emphasized that giving an interethnic and interlingual dimension to this unpleasant, narrow, that is, local level incident for any purpose is absolutely impossible.

“Having seen this video, like all our compatriots, I was also very surprised.  You just have to look at the messages on various social networks to know this.  The teacher's behavior caused everyone's anger and dissatisfaction. Regardless of the language spoken in our country, all citizens have equal rights,” says the rector.

He stated that the use of force against a student in schools is completely incomprehensible and that he is against it. Additionally, Sherzodkhon Qudratkhoja added that there is no doubt that the incident should be legally assessed and the guilty parties should indeed be fully punished within the framework of the law.

“There is no doubt that Uzbekistan is an independent sovereign state. And it does not accept interference in its internal affairs from outside.
This is my response to the statement of Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry. Moreover, the mentioned state has enough unresolved internal problems of its own,” said the rector.
