The ceremonial openings of art residencies were held in the "Model" and "Hasti Imam" historic districts, which have been included in the UNESCO World Heritage preliminary list. Presidential Assistant Saida Mirziyoyeva announced this.
“This is an important step towards preserving Tashkent's cultural heritage and developing its creative environment. The project is aimed at supporting artists and craftsmans from all regions of Uzbekistan as well as from other countries. The art residency will become a platform for sharing experiences, intercultural dialogue, and implementing joint projects,” says S. Mirziyoyeva.
