A court verdict has been announced regarding the tragic family conflict that occurred in the Chinaz district of the Tashkent region. According to information provided by the Supreme Court press secretary Aziz Obidov, the criminal case regarding the woman who was stabbed to death by her brother has been concluded.
According to reports, the deceased woman had been living with her mother and brother after divorcing and separating from her two children. Financial problems in the family, particularly loan repayments, frequently caused conflicts between the sister and brother.
The defendant stated that on the day of the incident, his sister attacked him with a knife and wounded his hand. In a state of confusion, the brother stabbed his sister 60 times with a knife. The woman died at the scene due to severe injuries. The defendant then wrapped the body in a carpet and kept it on the balcony for a week.
During the trial, the deceased's mother expressed that she did not wish to pursue a claim. According to the mother's words, her daughter often provoked conflicts in the family, while her brother was under psychological pressure.
The Chinaz District Court of the Tashkent region found the defendant guilty under Part 2, Clause "j" of Article 97 of the Criminal Code (murder with extreme cruelty) and sentenced him to 8 years of imprisonment.
