On October 9th of the current year, an international fugitive, a foreign citizen, was detained by the employees of the Anti-Extremism Department of the Akmola region police department in one of the restaurants in the regional center, Polisia.kz reports.
This individual had been declared wanted since February 27, 2023, by the Tashkent city police headquarters. The 37-year-old man is accused of hooliganism according to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The criminal fled Uzbekistan and headed to Shymkent city in Kazakhstan, from there he moved to Kokshetau where he went into hiding, finding employment as a chef.
It is noted that the issue of extraditing the detained individual to Uzbekistan is currently being considered.
