The cash prizes and gifts awarded to the winners of fan olympiads will be exempt from income tax. The Ministry of Justice reports this.
“On measures to further improve the system of working with talented youth” Presidential decree (PQ-346) states, from January 1, 2025:
- a system of incentives for the leaders of teams participating in prestigious international olympiads based on the team's results will be introduced;
- cash prizes and gifts awarded to students who win at the regional and republican stages of the main subject olympiads, as well as international olympiads, and their teachers and team leaders, will be exempt from income tax.
By December 1, 2025:
- an electronic platform that allows for maintaining a constant statistics of the results of international and local subject olympiads, organizing and conducting online subject olympiads, and forming a database of olympiad participants will be created;
- a special website that provides information about international subject olympiads named after great scholars held in Uzbekistan, facilitating the registration of local and foreign students for these olympiads, will be launched.
