The meeting on the development tasks of Tashkent region under the chairmanship of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has started.

It is noted that the desire to engage in entrepreneurship is growing day by day in the region. Enterprises in the capital are also seeking locations in Tashkent region due to proximity of infrastructure, availability of land, property tax, and cheaper labor force.

Therefore, Tashkent, Qibray, Zangiota, Yukorichirchiq, Urtachirchiq districts, and the cities of Chirchiq and Nurafshon must develop in harmony with the capital districts, said the President.

For example, in the Qorasaroy and Hasanboy communities of Tashkent district, an industrial technopark will be established on 97 hectares.

High value-added projects worth 350 million dollars can be organized in this location.

In addition, entrepreneurs intend to establish an eco-park, aquapark, shopping complex, hotel, and logistics centers on a total area of 107 hectares, and are ready to construct multi-storey buildings for 35,000 households on another 100 hectares.

It was noted in the meeting that Tashkent district should become the main base for providing housing for the population of the region.

Also, through Tashkent district, 44,000 people pass daily from Kazakhstan, including 2-2.5 thousand foreign tourists.

The officials were tasked to find locations for building 5 more sanatoriums in the “Healing Waters” area, to auction them, to expand Healing Waters street, and to develop a master plan for constructing large trade, sports, and entertainment centers, as well as multi-storey buildings around it.

It is important to suggest that enterprises in the capital move to the construction-halted objects in the region.

About 70 objects that have not been sold for a long time will be made available to entrepreneurs in the capital with installment payments. The condition is that 50 percent of the workers must be from poor families.
