A cooperation meeting took place between the railway administrations of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan was held.
Within the framework of the 81st meeting of the Council for Rail Transport of the Commonwealth of Independent States, a bilateral meeting took place between the chairman of the "Uzbekistan Railways" JSC Z.Narzullayev and the head of the "Kyrgyz Railway" state enterprise A.Sakiev.
During the meeting, negotiations were held on issues of increasing freight volumes and applying tariff discounts.
Furthermore, issues of using "Temiryulkargo" JSC freight wagon parks for transporting main cargos such as coal, cement and other products, and repairing weigh station facilities between the two states were also discussed.
The parties also agreed to launch tourist train services on the "Tashkent-Balykchy (Ribache)" route in the summer of 2025. This route will be an important step in developing tourism relations between the two countries and will increase the flow of tourists in the direction of Issyk-Kul.
In addition, the issue of enhancing the skills of Kyrgyz railway employees at "Uzbekistan Railways" JSC centers was discussed, and it was agreed to organize training programs in this direction.
