Individuals engaged in the illegal sale of medicinal products were detained in Tashkent city. This was reported by the Department for Combatting Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General's Office announced.

It has been reported that, in the Yunusabad district, citizen N.K. and others sold 10,000 boxes of a foreign-produced medicinal product named “Levomer 500 mg” worth a total of 199 million UZS without the necessary quality assurance documents to citizen M.X. for 13,000 USD at the time they were detained.

In connection with this case, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 186-3 of the Criminal Code (the production, preparation, acquisition, storage, transportation, or sale of substandard or counterfeit medicines or medical items with the intent to distribute) and investigative actions are being conducted.
