“Regarding the measures to improve tourism infrastructure and establish modern services and tourism facilities in the mountainous-recreational areas of the Surkhandarya region” The President's decree (PQ-439-number, 12.16.2024) was adopted
According to the decision, the following will be organized:
In the territory of Boysun district, a tourist center “Omonkhona” on a plot of land with a total area of 220.5 hectares;
In the territory of Sariosiyo district, a tourist center “Sangardak” on a plot of land with a total area of 615 hectares;
In the territory of Jarkurgan district Obihayot neighborhood, a tourist center “Obihayot” on a 110-hectare plot of land near the bank of the “Oqtepa” reservoir;
The development and management of tourist centers “Omonkhona”, “Sangardak”, and “Obihayot” as a state institution in the form of the Directorate for the Development and Management of Tourist Infrastructure in Surkhandarya region.
Land plots designated for entrepreneurial and urban development activities in the territories of the tourist centers will be sold through an electronic online auction based on property or lease rights.
With the aim of constructing hotels, guest houses, service complexes, and recreational facilities by attracting private investments, vacant land plots will be offered for auction in electronic online auctions to be paid in equal instalments over a period of 10 years from 2025–2027.
