A passenger plane flying from Baku to Grozny has crashed in the city of Aktau, Kazakhstan. This was reported by Tengrinews here.
The site of the incident was reached by 52 personnel and 11 vehicles from the Kazakhstan Emergency Situations Ministry. A fire started after the plane crashed. Rescue teams began to extinguish the fire. Information about the victims is being clarified, and there are preliminary reports of survivors.
The crashed plane belonged to Azerbaijan Airlines. The ministry confirmed it was flying from Baku to Grozny. It is said that there were 67 passengers and five crew members on board.
